Frequently asked questions

Is my document uploaded?

No. Everything happens inside your browser — which matters for the contracts, CVs and reports people usually convert. Other PDF-to-Word services upload your file to their servers.

How closely does it match the original?

Text, reading order, paragraphs, headings, bold and italics come across well, and each PDF page becomes a page in the document. It is a faithful text conversion rather than a pixel-perfect clone: complex multi-column layouts, tables and positioned images are simplified.

Can it convert a scanned PDF?

Not directly — a scan has no text layer to read. Run it through the OCR tool first to recognise the words, then convert.

Which Word versions can open it?

It produces a standard .docx, which opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Apple Pages.
